Though the show was won by Oyi Lendo yet another contestant — Techi Kacha — who had made it to the final stage of the show, touched the heart of prominent Bollywood singer artiste Kailash Kher. According to the sources, Kher even called Kacha and promised to train him. Kachas’ voice even mesmerized the Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports and Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju.
Kacha was among the top five finalists. A tempo driver, Kacha won the masses’ hearts not only of the multicultural State of Arunachal Pradesh but also of many viewers across the country. Initially the ‘SKS’ show was produced as a commissioned programme for the newly launched channel ‘DD Arunprabha’; but the show was roped in to be aired as the prime time show on DD National due to its quality and unique concept, giving a major boost to its makers and producers.
The show ‘SKS’ was a multi-genre talent hunt show where a host travels extensively through every district of the State to find raw talent on the streets and amongst the commonest of people. The show promoted the multi-cultural and multi-traditional aspects of the State. It also showcased the latent talents and the beautiful and naturally-gifted places of Arunachal Pradesh.
